Does it give you a sense of freedom to differentiate between labeling and identifying?
Yes, a label comes across as something that I AM. It's unchangeable - for instance I AM female. Identifying a behavior makes me aware of something but leaves the door open for changing that something if it is a characteristic that God wants to change in me. I have identified that I tend to be a "stuffer who builds barriers" in my relationships with my parents and I will be working on changing the behavior.
